33 AD

The church of Christ at Genesee County began on 33 AD on the Day of Pentecost as recorded in Acts chapter two. Precious souls have been added by God to His church since that day (Acts 2:47).

We welcome you to worship with the brethren that meet at McCandlish Pointe. We reflect upon the many years of dedication, preaching, worshiping and serving God.

The church of Christ was built and purchased by Christ, established on the first Pentecost after His resurrection. It is the most important institution in the world! It has been our goal and continues to be our goal to be the church one reads about in the New Testament. Hence, in addition to our warm welcome at the church of Christ, you will find a place where the pure Gospel is preached, where a dedicated body of people assemble to worship, and where souls are devoted to the Lord and His Word.

These constitute His church by obedience to His will (Matt. 7:21; Acts 2:41). These believe in the study of reliable and sound versions of the Bible such as the King James and American Standard Versions of God's word (II Tim. 2:15), growth through this study (II Pet. 3:18), and being distinctive from the world by godly living (Rom. 12:1-2). Our creed is by Jesus Christ and not made by man. (Jn. 8:21,24; Matt. 16:15-19).

Church of Christ at Genesee County, Michigan.

Twenty Christians come together on October 19th, 2008 and had a worship service.

Following the worship service the brethren had a meeting to determine what course to take. The choices were to go to another congregation, stay with the Grand Blanc congregation, or start anew. It was decided by those meeting to start with a new congregation.

The member's had brother and sister Golwitzer leave the meeting. The congregation decided to seek him to fill the preaching position. He was asked to be the preacher and he accepted the position.

Shortly after we secured a P.O. Box, bank account, webpage, and sent letters out to faithful congregations willing to support our work.

All that is accomplished by the Christians worshiping at the church of Christ of Genesee County is owed to Jesus Christ and Him crucified. We have nothing to glory in, except the great blessing of serving, worshipping and glorifying our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

The congregation began to grow spiritually and numerically. Opportunities abound in the Genesee County.

To all who have a part in this great work, we say, as the Hebrew writer would say, “By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name” (Heb. 13:15).

Man does not command, change, or establish doctrine, thus we are not a denomination, but adhere to Jesus Christ as Lord of Lords and King of Kings and glorify Him.

October 2008-2009 The congregation first met at the Disabled American Veterans (DAV) building on the corner of Howe and Bristol Roads. We appreciate the kindness of the DAV Chapter #3 who time and time again has oppened their facility when needed a place to worship and have funeral dinners.

2009- November 2010 We met to worship at McCandlish Pointe, G-8305 S. Saginaw St. Grand Blanc, MI 48439 holding to the New Testament Pattern as outlined by God.

November 2010-Present We are meeting at 3499 S. Linden Road, Flint, MI 48507 continuing to hold to and defend the truth as found in the New Testament.

We are deeply endebted to all those who support this work for the Lord.
