The Four Promises Of Forgiveness
1. I will no longer dwell on this incident. 2. I will not bring up this incident again and use it against you. 3. I will not talk to others about this incident. 4. I will not allow this incident to stand between us or hinder our relationship.
“Col 3:13 “...even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye. ” (Col. 3:13).
If sin is in your life, seek (ask for) forgiveness. The Lord will forgive (Luke 17:3) if and when you seek it.
If another has sinned against you, and has been penitent, asked you to forgive them, FORGIVE THEM!
Realize when you forgive, truly forgive them, you are obligated to do or not do certain things. Read again the above four points.
Always KNOW that we can NOT obtain forgiveness from our Father when we are unforgiving.
All sin (Rom. 3:23). None are exempt! Everyone needs the forgiveness of others and certainly the forgiveness of Jehovah God.
What is FORGIVENESS? To treat another as if the sin, transgression, or mistake has never been made. God will so treat us, when we sorrowfully repent. Brethren must also be willing to forgive, truly forgive one another. Retrieved from http://www.easthillchurch.org/Bulletin/Current.pdf, Jan 27, 2009 |
